What's the Fastest Way to Grow My Hair!?
We all want fast-growing hair. I mean, who doesn’t? To try new hairstyles and trim often only to be back where you started in no time sounds like a dream.
Unfortunately, there is no way to truly ‘hack’ hair growth. You can’t take a magic pill and wake up with luscious locks… at least, not in our reality.
We all have that friend whose hair seems to grow insanely fast (damn them!) But, for most of us, patience is key.
On average, hair grows about a half-inch every month. And, this speed requires healthy hair (which not all of us have).
But, there are ways to help speed up hair growth - it means making your hair as healthy as humanly possible.
So, here’s how to promote healthy hair to speed up hair growth:
Scalp Care
Your scalp is the environment your hair needs to grow. If it’s not taken care of, it can inhibit growth.
So, in your hair care routine, include scalp care as well.
Use scalp oils, serums, or masks, and use them regularly.
When shampooing, massage the shampoo into your scalp. You can do other scalp massages as well.
When conditioning, stay away from the roots - this can leave in residue.
Trim Ends
Split ends are the real enemy of hair growth.
When your hair breaks, these split ends move their way up the strand. This prevents hairs from growing past a certain point.
So, trim the ends of your hair regularly! At least every three months, but more often if you like.
Vitamins/Nutrition
Hair is an extension of your body.
So, if you aren’t treating your body right, you might be depleting your hair of the vitamins it needs to grow long, and to grow fast.
High protein foods are key. This means meat, fish, nuts, beans, etc.
If you don’t eat meat, be sure you’re getting all the vital nutrients you might be missing out on!
Vitamins you can take are omega-3 fatty acids, zinc, iron, vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E. Biotin is also an effective hair growth supplement.
Just remember to eat balanced meals and treat your body right - your hair will thank you for it!
Our Blossom Vitamins include these vitamins and more - check them out in the Canvas Beauty store!
Cold Water
Heat is rough on your scalp and hair.
So, if possible, use lukewarm water when shampooing. This will ensure your hair gets cleaned thoroughly.
Then, when conditioning, also use lukewarm water.
Before stepping out of the shower, turn the water temperature cold (if you can handle it!).
This will close up the hair cuticles and ultimately strengthen hair follicles.
Detangle Softly
When detangling your hair, be careful. Breakage never helped anyone!
If possible, step out of the shower after putting in conditioner. Then, detangle your hair.
Use a proper detangling brush or a wide-toothed comb.
Castor Oil
Castor oil is an anti-fungal and antibacterial oil that is popular in the world of hair care, and for good reason - it works. It helps to not only fight scalp infections but hydrate your hair as well.
You can do a hot oil treatment with castor oil.
All you need to do is massage the oil into the roots of your hair. Apply it thoroughly in your hair, from the top to the ends. Then, cover your hair with a shower cap and use a blow dryer - this will heat up the castor oil giving you all the benefits from this amazing substance.
After the treatment, you can wash your hair as normal.

If your hair is not growing at all or you’re experiencing hair loss, this could be the symptom of an underlying problem. If this is the case, consult a doctor or health care professional.
